Match 29 :Chennai Super Kings vs Pune Warriors India
It will be a fight of pride when Pune Warriors India and Chennai Super Kings lock horns at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk on Monday. Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni are pillar of Team India but in the IPL they are fighting against each others. This is the field of IPL, where friends turn foe and foe turn friends. Both the teams are also looking to avoid drop in the IPL after consecutive defeats. Pune Warriors India and Chennai Super Kings kicked off their campaign in style but lost the momentum later on.
Pressure will be on Chennai as they have lost three games in a row. On the other hand, Pune have also lost their last two games. One more defeat can land Dhoni & Co. in real trouble whereas Yuvraj is aiming to avoid fall in such situation where Chennai is. For defending Champions, the bowling department is real area of concern. Tim Southee, Shadab Jakati and Joginder Sharma are proved toothless. And it is expected that, Sudip Tyagi or Yo Mahesh may get chance in today’s game.
As far Pune Warriors are concerned, Manish Pandey’s four-match ban has been ended and he is set to play in the IPL 2011 against Chennai. It means Graeme Smith is likely to be rested.
Pandey’s inclusion will also boost Pune’s batting line-up and fielding.
