Kvitova required 75 minutes to pull off the simple 6-2 6-3 win over the local wild card, booking her place in the quarter-finals where she will play eighth seed Daniela Hantuchova, who came from behind to win the late match 5-7 6-3 6-4 over Ksenia Pervak.
Third seed Jelena Jankovic survived a scare against British lucky loser Anne Keothavong, who took the first set before the Serb stormed back to maintain victory 3-6 6-2 6-1. Seventh seed Dominika Cibulkova moved through with a 6-7 (1/7) 6-3 6-1 win over Italy's Sara Errani and she was connected in the last eight by Czech Lucie Safarova, who beat another Italian, Alberta Brianti, 6-4 6-2.
