Zimbabwe crushed favourites South Africa by nine wickets Sunday as the non-cap Twenty20 tri-nations tournament at Harare Sports Club reached a stunning highlight. It was the second amount of time in 5 days and nights the sponsor region place their potent neighbours towards the sword in the warm-up occasion for your ICC Planet Twenty20 inside Sri Lanka this kind of Sept as well as October. Zimbabwe received simply by up to 29 goes past Saturday.

South Africa made 146-6 off 20 overs with Faf du Plessis (66) top scoring and Zimbabwe reached 150-1 with 17 balls to spare thanks to a superb unbeaten partnership between captain Brendan Taylor (59) and Hamilton Masakadza (58).Many South African cricket writers had argued against the Proteas going to Harare, saying Zimbabwe and Bangladesh were too weak to provide meaningful opposition.

Zimbabwe has recalled Brian Vitori, Shingirai Masakadza, Graeme Cremer and Stuart Matsikenyeri for the tour of New Zealand. Southpaw seamer Vitori missed the home series against the same opposition due to a shin injury, right-arm fast bowler Masakadza last played during the World Cup in early 2010, leg-spinner Cremer has put a serious knee injury behind him and batsman Matsikenyeri also makes a return after two years on the sidelines.

The extended, 20-man squad is without the services of medium-pacer Chris Mpofu, who was forced to pull out of events with a lower back injury. Tendai Chatara has been named as Mpofu's replacement. As a result Chris will no longer be a part of the camp and will miss the tour. New Zealand and Zimbabwe will meet for a one-off Test, which starts on 26 January, followed by three ODIs and two T20Is.
