An all-round show by Moises Henriques was sufficient to lift the Sydney Sixers to a crucial 14-run win over the Chennai Super Kings in their Champions League T20 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Henriques flaming a quickfire 49 not out off just 23 balls, then 3-23 with the ball, as the Australian franchise detained their nerve against the IPL giants.
Suresh Raina, with a classy 57 off just 33 balls, kept the Super Kings interested after Faf du Plessis had sprayed some magnificent strokes around the park in his 25-ball 43. But once Raina was skillfully caught on the boundary by the alert Steve Smith, the Chennai challenge folded, and they finally surrended on 171 for nine. Apart from Du Plessis and Raina, none of their big-name batsmen fired and that cost them very much.
