Zimbabwe has recalled Brian Vitori, Shingirai Masakadza, Graeme Cremer and Stuart Matsikenyeri for the tour of New Zealand. Southpaw seamer Vitori missed the home series against the same opposition due to a shin injury, right-arm fast bowler Masakadza last played during the World Cup in early 2010, leg-spinner Cremer has put a serious knee injury behind him and batsman Matsikenyeri also makes a return after two years on the sidelines.
The extended, 20-man squad is without the services of medium-pacer Chris Mpofu, who was forced to pull out of events with a lower back injury. Tendai Chatara has been named as Mpofu's replacement. As a result Chris will no longer be a part of the camp and will miss the tour. New Zealand and Zimbabwe will meet for a one-off Test, which starts on 26 January, followed by three ODIs and two T20Is.
Squad: Brendan Taylor, Regis Chakabva, Tendai Chatara, Chamunorwa Chibabha, Elton Chigumbura, Graeme Cremer, Kyle Jarvis, Hamilton Masakadza, Shingirai Masakadza, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Tinotenda Mawoyo, Keegan Meth, Forster Mutizwa, Njabulo Ncube, Raymond Price, Vusimuzi Sibanda, Tatenda Taibu, Prosper Utseya, Brian Vitori, Malcolm Waller.
